(1) Las personas físicas que se trasladen a un Estado Contra-
tante por un máximo de dos años a invitación del mismo o de
una universidad, escuela superior, colegio, museo u otras institu-
ciones culturales de dicho Estado Contratante o en el marco de
un intercambio cultural oficial con el único fin de ejercer una ac-
tividad docente, impartir clases o realizar tareas de investigación
en tales instituciones y que sean residentes del otro Estado Con-
tratante o hayan sido residentes del mismo inmediatamente an-
tes de trasladarse al Estado mencionado en primer lugar esta-
rán exentas en el Estado mencionado en primer lugar del pago
de impuestos sobre las remuneraciones percibidas por la activi-
dad en cuestión, siempre y cuando dichas remuneraciones no
procedan de este Estado.
(2) Las cantidades que perciban para cubrir sus gastos de
sostenimiento, estudios o formación los estudiantes universita-
rios, alumnos en prácticas y aprendices de formación profesio-
nal que se encuentren en un Estado Contratante con el único fin
de cursar su carrera superior o de formación profesional y sean
o hayan sido residentes del otro Estado Contratante inmediata-
mente antes de trasladarse al Estado mencionado en primer lu-
gar estarán exentos del pago de impuestos en el Estado mencio-
nado en primer lugar, siempre y cuando dichas cantidades
procedan de fuentes situadas fuera de este Estado.
