(2) The Agreement shall enter into force on the day of the
exchange of the instruments of ratification and shall have effect:
a) in the case of the Federal Republic of Germany,
i)
for taxes withheld at source, in respect of amounts paid
on or after the first day of January 2011;
ii) for other taxes, in respect of taxes levied for periods
beginning on or after the first day of January 2011;
iii) in respect of the exchange of information under Article 25
and in respect of the assistance in the collection of taxes
under Article 26 from the first day of January 2011;
b) in the case of the Republic of Turkey,
i)
for taxes with respect to every taxable period beginning
on or after the first day of January 2011;
ii) in respect of the exchange of information under Article 25
and in respect of the assistance in the collection of taxes
under Article 26 from the first day of January 2011.
