Dieses Abkommen bleibt auf unbestimmte Zeit in Kraft; je-
doch kann jeder der Vertragsstaaten bis zum dreißigsten Juni
eines jeden Kalenderjahres nach Ablauf von fünf Jahren, vom
Tag des Inkrafttretens an gerechnet, das Abkommen gegen-
über dem anderen Vertragsstaat auf diplomatischem Weg
schriftlich kündigen; in diesem Fall ist das Abkommen nicht
mehr anzuwenden
a) in Neuseeland
auf steuerpflichtiges Einkommen für Veranlagungsjahre,
die am oder nach dem 1. April des Kalenderjahrs beginnen,
das unmittelbar auf das Kündigungsjahr folgt;
b) in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland
i) bei der im Abzugsweg erhobenen deutschen Steuer
auf die Steuer von den Beträgen, die am oder nach
dem 1. Januar des Kalenderjahrs gezahlt werden, das
unmittelbar auf das Kündigungsjahr folgt;
ii) bei den sonstigen deutschen Steuern auf die Steuern,
die für das Kalenderjahr erhoben werden, das unmit-
telbar auf das Kündigungsjahr folgt.
